Emphasises on Acquisition of Land for Creation of Infrastructure
Port Blair, June 21: Inspector General Kuldip Singh Sheoran, PTM, TM Commander Coast Guard Region (A&N) visited Coast Guard Station Hutbay on 19th June and stressed upon impetus to developing operational infrastructure in tandem with accretion of assets and prioritize berthing facilities at Hutbay.
The commander emphasised upon acquisition of land for creation of infrastructure for basing of ship in Hutbay to enhance maritime surveillance and safety & security of fishermen around Andaman & Nicobar group of Islands. During the visit, the Inspector General also inaugurated the Navik’s accommodation and Officer’s Mess.
