Port Blair, June 22: The Hindi Section of the Directorate of Information, Publicity & Tourism has organized a two day Hindi workshop from 20.6.2016 to 21.6.2016 for the welfare of the staff of both Information, Publicity & Tourism Directorate’s for propagation and progressive use of Hindi in the departments as well as its subordinate offices.

The Publicity Officer In-charge Shri N. Abdul Rasheed has inaugurated the Hindi Workshop on 20.6.2016 at 11.30 AM in a simple ceremony held in the conference hall of Directorate of Information & Publicity and urged the participants to do their maximum works in Hindi as per the directions already contained in the Official Language Acts and Rules.

Altogether 17 Staffs of various designations like Head Clerks, Higher grade clerks, Lower Grade Clerks, workman, General stewards, MTS dealing in file noting’s etc were participated from both the departments Shri K.V. Satya Narayana, Hindi Translator of this department was the resource person and has provide the knowledge of Hindi websites, Hindi dictionaries, Hindi software’s and its working procedure, Hindi noting & drafting, filling up of quarterly report and other related information etc. 

The concluding function was held on 22.6.2016 at 1500 Hrs and in a simple ceremony held in the conference hall of Directorate of Information & Publicity,  Shri M.N. Murli Director of Information, Publicity in the presence of Shri Shri N. Abdul Rasheed has gave away the certificates to the  participants of the Hindi Workshop. The Director (IP) in his address to the participants has lauded the efforts made to organize the Hindi Workshop in a grand manner and instructed to grab the opportunities of such useful training sessions to ensure maximum implementation of Official Language policies of the Union in the entire Department as well as in the entire Islands.
