Port Blair, Aug. 21: The 72nd birth anniversary of the former Prime Minister of India, late Rajiv Gandhi  was celebrated very affectionately at Gandhi Bhavan today.  The PCC Chief Shri  Kuldeep Rai Sharma has garlanded the portrait of  late  Rajivji while all the leaders and supporters have paid floral tribute.  Shri Kuldeep  said  that this day is also known as " Sadbhavana diwas" which is a day to remember the principles, attitudes and morals of late Rajiviji and to promote national integration, communal harmony and to resolve all difference  through dialogue and constitutional means without resorting to violence.  The dream of  Late Rajiv Gandhi  was of an India, strong, independent, self-reliant and the forefront of the front ranks of the nations of the world. 

Wimberlygunj Block Congress Committee  have  also  celebrated  the Birthday of  late Rajivji at Wimberlygunj Block office under the leadership of Shri A.K. Kathireshan, President, Block Congress Committee, Wimberlygunj. Sweets were  distributed to the general public  gathered during the function as well the public present in the premises of PHC, Wimberlygunj.  Zilla Parishad member Ms. Mariyam Bibi, Shri Deva Kumar and Shri A.P. Jabir, Samiti Member  were also present.
