Port Blair, Nov. 24: Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Member of Parliament, A&N Islands has requested the Chief Secretary of the A&N Administration to provide sailing of MV Sindhu and MV Nalanda for Car Nicobar Island.
In a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary, the MP expressed deep concern over the inadequate facilities and services provided by the vessels currently in operation, notably MV Bharat Seema, for the extended 12-hour journey to Car Nicobar.

Shri. Jolly presented a ground zero report regarding the current prevailing situation of National Highway-4, throughout various stretches of North & Middle Andaman District. He pointed out the difficulties & challenges being faced by the residents & visitors of North & Middle Andaman.

Port Blair, Nov. 24: A delegation of Bharatiya Janata Party, A&N Islands, led by its State President, Shri Ajoy Bairagi met Hon'ble Union Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways and Ayush, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal yesterday. Shri Bairagi discussed some vital issues pertaining to the development of Islands.
In his letter submitted to the Union Minister, Bairagi highlighted various issues like Construction of Deep Water Harbour at Diglipur which is a long pending demand of the people of North Andaman. He also emphasized on opening of a ticket counter at Billiground, which will help them book tickets. At present they are forced to travel to Mayabunder to do so.

Rangat, Nov. 24: On 25/10/2023, a case of misappropriation of Government funds amounting to Rs. 56,88,395/- at the ANIDCO Wine Shop, Rangat was registered at PS Rangat under relevant sections of the law. Two of the accused persons were arrested on the same day and sent to judicial custody after thorough interrogation. However, a widespread search of prime accused namely G. Vinod Kumar, Manager of ANIDCO Wine Shop was underway as he was missing from these islands.

Car Nicobar, Nov. 24: On the intervening night of 22 & 23 Nov 23, ICG Ship Vishwast provided assistance to Fishing Boat “Adonai” (Regn. No. IND-AN-SA-MM-2112) and towed it to Carnic harbour. The boat had left Junglighat harbour on 19 Nov 23 with 13 fishermen and was fishing near Car Nicobar when its propeller shaft got broken and boat got started drifting in rough seas.
