Port Blair, Nov. 20: Shri V. K. Abdul Aziz, Member, Bindaban Constituency, South Andaman has written to the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration recently urging for a cadre review and restructuring of Panchayat Secretary and IT Cadre under the A&N Administration.
In his letter, Abdul Aziz mentioned that it has come to his notice that employees in both of these cadres have now accumulated more than 25 to 30 years of service, and those appointed to the positions of Panchayat Secretary and Computer Assistant are expected to retire in the same posts after serving for more than 30 years.

Port Blair, Nov. 20: SVAMITVA Property Cards were issued to beneficiaries during Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra held at Beodnabad & Calicut Panchayats today. SVAMITVA Desk was also set up to increase awareness about the scheme among the masses. Further, beneficiaries also shared their experience about the benefits received after getting SVAMITVA Card such as ease of getting loans and solving of land related disputes and ease of transaction at Govt. Offices after receiving Property Cards under SVAMITVA scheme.

Mayabunder, Nov. 20: The District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) of North and Middle Andaman celebrated ‘National Adoption Day’ befittingly on Nov.18, 2023 under the guidance of Shri Ankit Yadav, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, N&M Andaman. The event aimed to raise awareness about the importance and necessity of adoption to the children in need, so as to provide them loving parents, home, care, good education, amicable social atmosphere etc., which are the basic necessities of every child.

Port Blair, Nov. 20: The Department of Environment and Forests, A&N Islands had conducted written examination for recruitment to the post of Forest Ranger from 21.08.2023 to 10.09.2023. The official answer keys for the written examination were uploaded online on 12.09.2023, inviting observations from the candidates regarding any discrepancies/objections. The responses of the applicants received within the due date i.e. 19.09.2023 midnight were examined and the final answer keys has been published online on 21.11.2023. No further correspondences on the above subject will be entertained in this regard.
