I extend my warm greetings and affectionate wishes to the Children of A&N Islands on the occasion of Children's Day on 14th November, 2023.

Celebrating Children's Day is about giving every child his or her right to grow into a healthy, educated and responsible citizen of the country. It is the utmost duty of every parent, teacher and the society to facilitate all-round development of children so that they can realise their fullest potential.

On the occasion of Children's Day, the 14th November, I extend my warm and affectionate wishes to the children of A&N Islands.

This special day is a celebration of your boundless energy, unbridled curiosity, and endless potential that makes our world a brighter and more hopeful place.

Port Blair, Nov. 13: The North & Middle Andaman District Open Chess Championship 2023 will be held on 19.11.2033 at Pokkadera Community hall, Mayabunder. The championship is organised by the North & Middle Andaman District Chess Association (NMDCA) under the aegis of Andaman Nicobar Chess Association (ANCA)

The championship will serve as a selection event and the best four players from the North & Middle Andaman district will be selected for the A & N State Open Rapid chess championship 2023 to be held in Port Blair this month and the entry fee, lodging, boarding and travel expenses of the selected players will be borne by the Andaman Nicobar Chess Association (ANCA).

CPI (M) Andaman & Nicobar State Organising Committee deeply mourn the demise of Comrade Basudeb Acharia, former Member of Parliament and former Member Central Committee of CPI (M) at Hyderabad today (13.11.2023) afternoon. He was 82 years. Though he was ailing for quite sometime, but was participating in the party programme wherever possible. 

Port Blair, Nov. 13: As a part of the celebration of 8th National Ayurveda Day with the theme: ‘Ayurveda for One Health’ with the tagline: ‘Ayurveda for everyone on every day', a Medicinal Plants Excursion was organized for the students of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya to Botanical Garden of Botanical Survey of India, Nayasahar on Nov.1, 2023 by the AYUSH Wing of DHS and A & N State AYUSH Society. The trip was flagged off from VKV, Lamba Line by Ms. Varsha Bujone, Secretary, VKV Port Blair. A team of 140 students of VKV enthusiastically participated in the excursion trip along with the teachers.
