Port Blair, Feb 21: The Election Commission of India has launched the logo and tagline for the Multimedia Campaign for forthcoming Parliamentary Elections – 2024. The logo and the tagline is ‘Chunav Ka Parv, Desh Ka Garv’. The ‘Chunav Ka Parv’ reflects the nationalistic flavour of the Election process. A festival involving every citizen with one singular objective- Nation Building.

Port Blair, Feb 21: In continuation to the vacancy notice published on 10.01.2024 by the Directorate of Health Services in online portal www.andaman.gov.in and https://erecruitment.andaman.gov.in/crap/ inviting applications from the eligible candidates to fill up the Group ‘C’ vacant post of Pharmacist Grade III in A & N Health Department, candidates have been informed that the recruitment examination through Computer Based Test (CBT) will be held on 09.03.2024 & 10.03.2024 at Dr. BR Ambedkar Institute of Technology, Pahargaon, Port Blair.

Port Blair, Feb 20: The Member of Parliament, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma, recently met with the Hon'ble Vice President of India, Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar at New Delhi after receiving the Sansad Ratna Award for the third time this year.

During the meeting, Shri Sharma conveyed his heartfelt gratitude to the Vice President for acknowledging his efforts and performance as a public representative from the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

Port Blair, Feb 20: The 37th Convocation of the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) was held on Tuesday, 20th February, 2024 at Port Blair.  The Guest of Honour Col. Arvind Varma, IPoS, Postmaster General, has graced the Convocation function at TGCE Auditorium, Port Blair.  958 students are eligible to receive their degree /diplomas for 37th Convocation out of which 98 have attended the convocation function. Large number of parents along with their wards were attended during the Convocation.
