Port Blair, May 27: Andaman & Nicobar Islands have only one Municipal Council i.e. Port Blair Municipal Council. PBMC provides basic civic amenities i.e. drinking water including its distribution network, solid waste management including door to door collection / segregation/ transportation etc., construction and maintenance of roads / footpaths / retaining walls and implementation of major flagship programmes of Government of India.
Due to observance of Lockdown across the nation, various Municipal dues (viz.Water and conservancy charges, Property tax and Markets Rents) could not be paid by the Citizens on time.
Therefore, Port Blair citizens are requested to clear their Municipal dues viz Water charges, conservancy charges, Property tax and Markets Rents w.e.f. 29/05/2020 through
- a) online by visiting website http://e-nagarsewaup.gov.in/india/home.
- b) Municipal dues can also be paid in the PBMC counter through Cash upto Rs. 2,000/-Debit & Credit Card/NEFT/Demand Draft in favour of Secretary, PBMC. The PBMC collection counter will remain functional from 9:00 am to 01:00 pm and 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on all workings days.
- c) Citizens can also pay their dues in any of the Common Service Centers (CSCs).
It is worth to mention that 10 % rebate can be availed by citizens for payment on or before 31st July.
Once again PBMC appeals to all citizens to prefer online mode of payment.
