Port Blair, June 2: In a Circular issued on 1st July 2020, the Assistant Commissioner, South Andaman has extended the validity of certificates issued by the Tehsildars which includes No Dues and Non encumbrance, Valuation certificates etc.

The Assistant Commissioner in his Circular stated that, “In view of the lockdown imposed to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and time to time advisories issued by the MoH & FW and due to which the validity of various certificates issued by the Tehsildars like No dues and Non encumbrance certificate, valuation certificate etc. for the purpose of obtaining sale/ mortgage permission/ registration of sale/ gift deed etc. have been lapsed. Hence all kinds of certificates mentioned above whose validity has been expired between the period of 01.03.2020 to 31.05.2020 is hereby exempted and the validity of such certificates would be treated as valid till 30th June 2020”.
