Port Blair, June 3: The Police Station, Chatham has today lodged an FIR on the basis of a complaint received by Dr. Hemant, wherein it was stated that five new born puppies were burnt alive at the Teal House (Government Accommodation) on 1st of June 2020.
While the incident was reported on 1st of June, the PS Chatham received the complaint the very next day. Soon after receiving the complaint, a special investigation team of PS Chatham inspected the spot and took all evidences pertaining to the case. The puppies were burnt near the Air Conditioning Compressor, which also has raised doubts on electrocution. However, police has sent the samples and remains for post mortem and the report is expected in the coming days.
A message on the brutal act has been circulating on the social media wherein it has been alleged that five newly born puppies were burnt to death by some of the resident doctors staying at the Teal House. The allegation also suggests that the puppies were burnt before the helpless mother, who bore witness to the crime.
The message also reads that upon receiving the complaint, the President PFA, Andaman Unit had submitted a letter to the SHO, PS Chatham to file an FIR.
