UTCPCR Requests Administration to Intervene
Port Blair, June 8: It has been brought to the notice of the UT Commission for Protection of Child Rights that TATA Sky Services in Port Blair is yet to initiate the broadcast of Tele Classes by DD Port Blair. As a result, large number of students are deprived from the benefits of the classes.
In a letter to the Secretary Education, A&N Administration, the Member, Commission for Protection of Child Rights, Smti Neeta Agarwal highlighting the above issue has requested the intervention of the Administration to telecast DD Port Blair Channel through TATA Sky Services being provided in Port Blair at the earliest.
Meanwhile, the Member UTCPCR conveyed her gratitude to the Education department towards grant of relief regarding payment of fees by the students, which was requested by the Commission. The Commission has also expressed its gratitude for providing Educational support to the students through Digital Platform during Lockdown period through Door Darshan Kendra, Port Blair, Local TV Networks and All India Radio, Port Blair as an alternative to formal teaching-learning across the islands.
