Port Blair, June 12: The Member of Parliament, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration to arrange two convoys daily i.e. one in the morning and another in the evening for both ways instead of existing one convoy for movement of vehicles in the Andaman Trunk Road (Jarawa Reserve Area).

The MP informed that as of now vehicle movement on ATR for outward and inward journey from South Andaman to North & Middle Andaman and vice versa has been increased and if one more convoy in addition to the existing one convoy is allowed till lifting of lockdown, this will be more convenient to the general public, patients, students, businessmen, contractors, goods transportation etc. for their movement with vehicles to the different places and also to return on the same day after attending their works, which were pending on account of lockdown since 25th March, 2020. Kuldeep has thus requested the Chief Secretary to arrange two convoys daily for movement of vehicles on ATR (Jarwa Reserved Area).
