Port Blair, Aug 19: The Tribal Development Council, A&N Islands has demanded for extending the cut-off date for admission in colleges of A&N Islands. The cut-off date has been kept at 24th Aug 2020, which is a grave concern for the students, especially the tribal students in the remote areas.
In a letter to Commissioner-cum- Secretary (Education), Rayhaan Pasha, the Secretary of the Council while demanding to extend the date for admissions has requested to set up internet centres in various parts of the islands so as to enable the needy and deserving candidates to file their online applications. He has suggested that the schools be utilized for the purpose.
