Port Blair, Aug 20: In view of Ganesh Pooja falling on Saturday 22nd August 2020, the movement of pandits alone from home to temple and back has been allowed by the A&N Administration between 06.00 am to 9.00 am. Immersion of idols and processions shall not be allowed. It should however be ensured that the National Directives for COVID-19 management are complied with by all.
All places of worship/ temples should ensure the compliance of SOPs for religious places/ places of worship for public as issued by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, said Suneel Anchipaka, IAS, Dy. Commissioner in an order issued today.
