Port Blair, Sept. 4: The Indian Red Cross Society, A&N Branch conducted a distribution ceremony of washable cotton cloth masks for Sanitary Workers/supervisors of all the twenty four wards of Port Blair Municipal Council through their respective sanitary inspectors/supervisors.

All together 2000 cotton cloth mask were handed over to the Public Health Officer in the presence of Chairperson, Secretary and all the municipal councilors of PBMC in the conference hall of Indira Bhavan today by Dr.R.Thulasi Dasan, Hon. General Secretary and other supporting staff of IRCS, A&N Branch, Port Blair. It is recommended to wash cloth masks after every use. When removing, be careful not to touch your eyes, nose and mouth. Wash hands immediately after removing the mask. In addition proper hygiene practices and physical distancing are still the best methods of keeping yourself safe.
