Port Blair, Sept. 8: At a simple function held at the conference hall of the PBMC headquarters, the Chairperson, Port Blair Municipal Council facilitated the winners of the 1st ASIAN ITO VIRTUL CHAMPIONSHIIP TANG SOO DO held at Iran (through virtual video). As many as 12 countries participated in the event. Altogether 54 students participated in the event representing India out of which 10 students were from the Islands and the Indian team won the Championship. 

The participants from these Islands won 6 gold and 4 Silver Medals. D. Navin Kumar, V.Thivagar, P.Midhun Vettaiyaar, V.Manvandr, Kulvinder Kaur Randhawa won Gold Medals whereas Vishal Nair, Smiriti Rani, P.Rupashree and K.Kaviyawon won silver medals respectively.

Shri. K. Ganeshan, Councillor Ward No-8 and Shri. B. Eswar Rao, Councillor WardNo-14 were also present on occasion and convened their blessing and best wishes for their future endeavors. The Chairperson lauded the efforts of Master M. D. Selvam, Black Belt –IV Dan TSFI.

In another separate tournament held at Jammu & Kashmir Kumari.Saniya Subash, Ambassador of Beti Bachao Beti Padao had won Gold medal. A total of 18 countries participated in the 1st International Sqay Martial Art Championship.
