Port Blair, Sept. 21: The Member of Parliament, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Director of Health Service, A&N Administration to provide land at the premises of GB Pant Hospital to create accommodation facilities to be constructed out of MPLAD fund for the Inter Islands patient’s attendants.

The Member of Parliament during his visits to GB Pant Hospital, Port Blair has observed that the attendants of the patients coming from various far flung and remote Islands are facing great hardships at GB Pant Hospital due to non-availability of accommodation facilities during treatment. 

The MP has requested the Director of Health Service to provide land at the premises of GB Pant Hospital, Port Blair at the earliest for construction of a structure to create accommodation facilities out of MPLAD fund to be provided by the Member of Parliament, for the use of poor patient’s attendants especially who hail from places such as Diglipur, Kalighat, Mayabunder, Billiground, Rangat, Kadamtala, Baratang, Swaraj Dweep, Saheed Dweep, Little Andaman, Car Nicobar, Nancowry Group of Islands, Campbell Bay etc.
