Port Blair, Oct. 6: In order to curtail the threat of drugs from these Islands, the team of PS Aberdeen has proved their efficiency and booked one accused under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act 1985 with the recovery of 1.2 Kgs of Ganja.

On 06/10/2020, a credible information was received that a person namely Praduman Prasad possessing illicit ganja and looking for customers to sell it at Supply Line near Police Masjid. Upon this, a raiding team led by Inspector Sanjay Kumar SHO PS Aberdeen, HC/811 Sunil Singh Yadav, PC/866 S. Neelkanteshwar Rao, PC/2634 Sonu Yadav and PC/2687 Sandeep Lakra was constituted and conducted a successful raid at Supply Line and arrested one person namely Praduman Prasad S/o Shri. Sohan Prasad (22)yrs R/o 20/58, Satya Bally Municipality, Howrah, West Bengal-711204 with a total recovery of 1.2 Kgs of Ganja.

The entire raid took place under the supervision of SDPO South Andaman and under the overall direction and supervision of Shri. Ravi Kumar Singh, IPS, Superintendent of Police, South Andaman District. The general public is requested to share information pertaining to any crime or other illegal activities to police at 112, 03192-232100 & 03192-233077. The identity of the informant will be kept secret.
