This Move Comes at a Time when Tourism Faces its Biggest Challenge: AATO President
Port Blair, Oct. 9: The President, Andaman Association of Tour Operators, Shri M. Vinod on behalf of the entire tourism industry of Andaman & Nicobar Islands has expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Government of India for extending the LTC till 25th September 2022 for Andaman Islands.
Vinod had earlier met Dr. Jitendra Singh, Minister of Personal Affairs at his residence at New Delhi and had taken up the subject on 29th November 2019.
“This move comes at a time when tourism faces its biggest challenge”, said Vinod.
“I am certain that this order shall help in resuscitating our industry back to life and multiply footfalls in the days to come. I would also like to sincerely thank the Andaman & Nicobar Administration for proposing, pursuing and prioritizing the extension of LTC, being mindful of the thousands of livelihoods that depend on it. With hope, the Andaman tourism industry looks forward to several more such tourism encouraging moves from the Government of India and the Andaman & Nicobar Administration, which shall help catapult Andaman Tourism into unprecedented heights”, he added.
