Port Blair, Jan 17: Continuing with its activities to promote art and culture in the Islands, Kala Kendra under the Directorate of Art & Culture, A&N Administration is conducting a week long camp for professional artists. The camp commenced on 11th Jan 2021 at the historic Andaman Club in spite of all constraints due to the pandemic and will be concluding on Monday 18th Jan 2021.

As many as 12 senor artists of Andaman & Nicobar Islands are participating in the camp, which is also an opportunity for the artists to share ideas, inspire and come up with masterpieces.

Having a word with Andaman Chronicle at the venue, the Director of Art & Culture, Shri Jatin Goyal explained that there have been some constraints due to the COVID-19 pandemic yet Kala Kendra has successfully conducted the camp, which is to culminate on 18th Jan. He also said that arrangements will be made by Kala Kendra to have the art works displayed for public view considering all protocols of COVID-19.

The artists participating in the camp include Shri Aloke Adhikari, Shri Dipankar Banerjee, Shri R.K. Biswas, Shri Ramprasad Bhattacharya, Shri Mohan Rao S, Shri Parmeshwar Rao B, Shri Neelakantam D, Shri Prosenjit Dhuria, Smti Shampa Ray, Shri P Senthil Kumar, Shri Dhruv Nath Singh and SHri Suresh Kumar G.
