Port Blair, Jan 31: Organizing a mega health camp and job orientation program under one roof has proved to be a great success and added a feather in the hat of Kesariya Hindu Vahini, Andaman and Nicobar Unit.
There was a huge response from the residents of Guptapara. Around 107 persons benefitted from the Health Camp and Job orientation program of fisheries scheme.
Witnessing the past success of the free mega health camp and requests from the public and fishermen community, a free health camp was organized by KHV on 31st January, 2021 Sunday from 10.00 am to 01.00 pm.

The program was inaugurated by Dr Ashish Kumar Mandal, Director, ANIIMS and Dr Utpal Kumar Sar, Director, Fisheries department by lighting a traditional lamp. The ANIIMS team was headed by the Director Dr Ashish Kumar Mandal, MD (Pathology) accompanied by Dr. Vivin Vincent, Dr.Amrita Burma, Dr.Surabhi Unni and Dr. Tresa Walter.
In the camp initially Blood Pressure and vital parameters were tested and people were advised medical follow up accordingly. The public was given awareness about the ill effects of diabetes and hypertension which are one of the most worrisome health issues prevalent in present scenario. During the camp all safety procedures were followed as per covid protocol and GoI guidelines. Shri Durga Prasad Tiwari, State General Secretary welcomed the guests.
