Port Blair, Feb 12: The District Child Protection Unit (S/A) under District Administration organized Brain Boosting Activities at Capstone Children Home, Birdline. The main aim of this program was to provide children with opportunities to experience new ideas and practice existing skills which would strengthen network of brain connection. Psychological activities play an important role in brain development that enhance cognitive flexibility and attention span.

The programme started with the hand eye coordination activity followed by the memory games, puzzle games, fun with words. Altogether 17 children participated in the programme actively.

The District Administration (South Andaman) will conduct such programs in future also at Child Care Institutions which would help children to enhance their skills.
