Port Blair, Feb 22: As part of MoU with SPIC-MACAY, the Kala Kendra- A&N Islands Society for Promotion of Art & Culture will be organizing series of Workshop-cum-Demonstrations on Odissi for college students from 23rd to 25th February 2021 at Port Blair with the aim to create awareness of rich Indian cultural heritage amongst young students. Smti. Shashwati Garai Ghosh will be the resource person.

Smti. Shashwati Garai Ghosh is a recipient of prestigious Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar of Sangeet Natak Akademi for her notable talent in the field of Odissi dance. She has been honoured with many prestigious award including   Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra Yuva Pratibha Samman, Nalanda Nritya Nipuna Award, Odissi Jothi Award. She is also a recipient of the National Scholarship from the Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India. She has conducted numerous workshops for schools and institutions and also performed at several national and international events.

Workshop-cum-Demonstration will be organized at ANCOL, DBRAIT, JNRM, Andaman Law College, ANIIMS, Tagore College following covid-19 guidlines.
