Port Blair, March 1: The Non-Gazetted Govt. Officers’ Association, Andaman and Nicobar Islands conveys shock and deep grief on the sudden demise of Comrade M. Krishnan, current Vice President and former Secretary General of the Confederation of Central Govt. Employees & Workers, New Delhi on today (01.03.2021) at Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. He was also a Member (Staff Side) of Joint Consultative Machinery, Govt. of India.  The veteran leader of Central Govt. employees and Pensioners, Com. M. Krishnan died of post Covid complications. He was 67.

Com. M. Krishnan, was a legendary and stalwart leader of the trade union movement who lead Postal employees and Central Government Employees for decades. It is an irreparable loss for the govt. employees and pensioners who have lost a knowledgeable, dedicated and committed leader. Com. Krishnan had attended the Annual Conference of this Association several times as the Chief Guest. His oratory skills had a large following among employees and workers in these islands.

The Association organised a condolence meeting at Crusade House, Port Blair in remembrance of Com. M. Krishnan. Various speakers spoke on his contributions towards employees and workers. The Association expresses its heartfelt condolence at the death of Com. M. Krishnan.
