Port Blair, April 11: In this fast moving world, we humans find out difficult to make time for ourselves. Stress plays a vital role in human life, so it is important to take some time and regain your peace of mind and rejuvenate. Keeping this in mind NAVODHAYA FOUNDATION in collaboration with DHAMMA VIPASSANA conducted a Meditation class for beginners in the premises of Khalsa Public Sr. Sec. School. Vipassana meditation helps people to unwind stress and attain self-realization. It promotes goodwill amongst people apart from helping come out of their unnecessary accumulated agony.

Mrs Rekha Bhasker of Dhamma Vipassana instructed the gathering on how to perform the art and also gave a brief description and informed about the future programmes of Dhamma Vipassana in our Islands. Dr. S K Jagpal, Principal of Khasla Public Sr. Sec. School who herself  is an old practitioner of Vipassa Meditation on the occasion highlighted the importance of Vipassana and shared her experience of learning this technique and the way she follows it in her daily life.

The Guest of Honour Mrs Almas Javed, Owner of Oriental Filling Station and a young entrepreneur from the tribal group, was very happy to be the part of this event, which taught the way to bring peace of mind and happiness in life. Smti Kamal Jagpal had graced the occasion as the guest of honour.

The programme was started by a small yoga class where some basic tips were provided by the Yoga Instructor of Khalsa Public Sr. Sec. School. Mrs Protima Banerjee, Director Navodhaya Foundation felicitated the guests and introduced Navodhaya Foundation and its motto.

The team of Navodhaya Foundation has thanked Mrs Rekha Bhaskar for introducing Vipassana Meditation technique in these islands, which otherwise would have been an expensive thing for the islanders to learn from the mainland.

For the upcoming courses from April 21st to May 2nd, June 23rd to 4th July and July 28th to Aug 8th, one can further contact Mrs Rekha Bhasker, Vipassana Teacher at +91 9500091792.
