Port Blair, July 13: Today Shri Angshuman Roy, State General Secretary (Youth) and Shri Sanjay Kumar, Executive Member (R/o South Point) of Hindu Rashtra Shakti received request from Blood Bank to provide some donors. Upon receiving the call, Angshuman Roy and his team along with Shri Tanmay Mallick, T. Yagambaram, Shri R Rakesh and many others came forward to donate blood.

Roy said that Doctors, Police, Revenue officer, Teacher, IT Staff, PBMC staff and health workers are contributing to the fight against Corona. The UT Administration has taken all measures to ensure that there is no shortage of medicines and facilities required for this battle. But patients are facing difficulties due to low blood stock. Hence, Healthy volunteers are urgently requested to donate blood now and throughout the next few months, for the sake of patients needing blood.

Sanjay Kumar said, since one cannot donate blood for 14 days after the first or second dose of the vaccine, donors have become few.

Rakeshwar Lall, State President said that blood is the most precious gift that anyone can give to another person; the gift of life. He commended all the donors for the valuable resources gifted to others and whole heartedly thanked all the HRS members & Volunteers apart from the officers and staff of GB Pant Hospital.
