Port Blair, July 23: The Andaman and Nicobar Islands Rural Livelihood Mission (ANIRLM) attached to Directorate of RD, PRIs and ULBs, Andaman and Nicobar Administration, Port Blair organized a “Orientation Programme on Sales, Marketing and Registration of Products through E- Marketing Platforms” made by the Self Help Groups (SHGs) formed under DAY-NRLM.
In the aforesaid training programme, a total of 26 DAY-NRLM SHG members from C.D. Block Ferrargunj and Prothrapur participated along with the Cluster Coordinators of respective Blocks. The details of the livelihood activities presently being performed by the SHG members were collected from the participants and were provided orientation on registration of their products on various platforms like GEM, Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp and other Social Media for registration and sale of their handmade products. Keeping in view of the COVID-19, the online marketing shall definitely boost the income of the women involved in SHGs.
The ANIRLM is also providing livelihood trainings to the SHGs as per their demand, so that they are empowered and can earn a better livelihood through sale of their products from various platforms.
