Port Blair, Nov. 21: FHRAI (Federation of Hotels & Restaurants of India) the APEX BODY for Hospitality in India through its Eastern Command HRAEI (Hotel & Restaurant Association of Eastern India) to which Andaman & Nicobar Islands belongs has appointed Shri Tanveer Singh (MD Symphony Resorts and President YCCI) as a Special Invitee to the Management Committee of HRAEI for the year 2021-22.

On the occasion, Tanveer Singh expressed his gratitude to the fraternity of HRAEI in bestowing their trust in Youth especially from the remotest part of India.

HRAEI has constantly played a vital role in representing the hotel industry on various Government Policies like GST, Licensing for hotels in both central and regional levels. Their active involvement during the corona pandemic has been much appreciated both by the Industry and Government of various states in the eastern region.

Andaman Islands to have access to both HRAEI & FHRAI through its member representation in the Island will definitely help bring in Positive reforms, better exchange of ideas and resources, upgraded skill training for manpower, thus creating better opportunities for both employers and employees across the Hotel Industry.

Andaman’s over the years has made its mark in the tourism map of India both domestically and internationally; also interestingly as we plan to compete with international destinations keeping in view new projects being proposed under the aegis of NITI AAYOG; enhancing tourism  infrastructure and delivering the desired guest experience to the international standards should be the order of priority. Though to keep our socio cultural and environmental ethos intact Sustainable tourism practices and implementation will be the way to go forward.
