Port Blair, Nov. 26: On 25th November when due to heavy rain flights got cancelled, many tourists (passengers) who were travelling back to mainland were stranded at Veer Savarkar International Airport.

The tourists were left out to find a shelter for the night as flights were rescheduled for the next day. Some were able to afford and few were left without any roof for the night. Considering the situation, the CISF through Mr Mayur Manchal approached Shri Mandeep Grewal, President, Port Blair Guru Ki Rasoi to seek some help. Responding to the call Grewal committed to provide Rooms for 35 passengers. The cost for the stay was borne by PBGKR.

Grewal said, “We would always be on our toes to help any stranded passengers, as they have come to visit our emerald islands and they must take only good memories of our islands.”
