It is hereby informed to the general public that 12th National Voters’ Day (NVD) is being celebrated in a befitting manner at State, Districts, Tehsils & Booth Level throughout Andaman and Nicobar Islands on 25th January 2022 (Tuesday) along with other parts of the country with the theme of “Making Election Inclusive, Accessible and Participative” with the aim of maximizing enrolment and building awareness in this UT. A series of activities is being organized through online mode to celebrate the 12th NVD which includes pledge taking by all offices on 25th January, 2022, slogan & essay competitions on the theme of NVD in Schools/Colleges and awareness activities through All India Radio, Doordarshan, Print advertisement, Social media etc.    

Recently, Special Summary Revision–2022 has been carried out and the total electors as per final roll published on 05.01.2022 with reference to 01.01.2022 as the qualifying date is 3,11,650 out of which 1,63,368 are male and 1,48,271 are female while the number of third gender is 11.

In order to ensure hassle free assistance with regard to electoral activities by general public a Toll Free No.1950 has been setup at State Contact Centre & District Contact Centre as well, which will function in all days during office hours. The voters can also search their particulars through online by downloading Voter Helpline App or log on to ECI’s website www.nvsp.in, www.voterportal.eci.gov.in & www.ceoandaman.nic.in.

I, therefore, appeal to all the eligible voters especially the youths in the age group of 18-19 years and PwDs to register yourself as an elector to take part in the electoral process for stronger democracy and to fulfill the theme of Commission “Making Election Inclusive, Accessible and Participative”. I also request all political parties and media to extend their full support and cooperation in this regard.
