On the occasion of 73rd Republic Day, I extend my best wishes and heartiest greetings to the residents of Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

On this day, in 1950, we resolved to constitute a Republic on the principles of justice, liberty, equality and fraternity. We pay homage to the countless sacrifices done by our freedom fighters. Let us pledge to live up to the ideals enshrined in our Constitution and give our best to strengthen and make the nation prosperous.

I appeal to the Islanders to strictly follow Covid-19 guidelines and Covid appropriate behaviour and get vaccinated on time.

On this joyous occasion, I wish that our emerald Islands always progress on the path of peace, harmony and prosperity.
