Port Blair, Jan 27: The Bharatiya Janata Party, State President, Shri Ajoy Bairagi today wrote to Chief Secretary regarding delay in issuance of Kissan Credit Cards to farmers. In his letter he mentioned during in his recent visit to North & Middle Andaman, a group of farmers raised this important issue of delay in issuance of Kissan Credit Card.

He mentioned that more than 300 farmers have filled the form and submitted with Agriculture Department but of no use as the farmers are still waiting for their credit cards more or less this is the same conditions across Islands. He stated that on enquiry it was found that Credit Cards are ready and with the bank, which fails to make sense that why the card are being held and not distributed.

This clears that Officers doesn’t want the benefit provided by PM Narendra Modi led government to reach till the farmers. The credit cards gives the needy farmers benefit of almost 3 lakh rupees hence he requested  Chief Secretary to kindly direct head of respective departments to issue the Kissan Credit Cards at the earliest.
