Port Blair, Feb 3: In an Order No. 111 issued today, the District Magistrate, South Andaman owing to the current situation of COVID-19 has relaxed the night curfew timings and also announced the opening of National Memorial Cellular Jail and NSCBI for visits.
According to the Order No. 111, night curfew shall be enforced in the entire District of South Andaman with no movement of men and materials between 10:00 PM to 05:00 AM until and unless permitted by the District Magistrate on case to case basis.
Tourism activities at the National Memorial “Cellular Jail” and Netaji Subash Chandra Bose Island (NSCBI) shall be permitted as per the Order No.70 dt. 03.02.2022 issued by the department of Tourism in this regard.
Any disobedience of the above orders shall invite penal action U/s 188 of Indian Penal Code, 1860 and the relevant provisions of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 against the violator(s) and fine shall also be imposed as per orders issued by this office from time to time.
This order shall come into immediate effect and shall remain in force till further orders.
