Port Blair, Feb 6: The Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, New Delhi has announced with profound sorrow the death of Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar at Breach Candy Hospital, Mumbai on 6th February, 2022. As a mark of respect to the departed Dignitary, the Government of India has declared 2 days State Mourning on Feb. 6 & 7.
During the State Mourning, the National Flag is being flown at half-mast throughout India and there will be no Official Entertainment on these two days. Meanwhile, State funeral was accorded to the departed soul today.
