Explains about benefits of Union Budget and People Centric Schemes of the Government

Port Blair, Feb 6: Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands organised a press conference at BJP Bhavan, Middle Point, Port Blair, which was addressed by Shri. John Barla, Hon’ble Minister of State, Ministry of Minority Affairs, Govt. of India.

Mr. Ajoy Bairagi, State President, Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Mr. R Devdas, State Executive Member, Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman & Nicobar Islands was also present at the conference.

The Minister expressed his happiness on visiting Andaman & Nicobar Islands and spoke to the scribes on the Union Budget 2022-2023 at length.

He spoke about various aspects of the budget and informed that this budget lays the foundation of development in India for the next 25 years. The Minister praised Prime Minister Modi and the Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman and explained that the focus of the budget is to make India self-reliant.

He explained that the budget is people friendly and will ensure development for all in India.

The Minister also highlighted many schemes of the Ministry of Minority Affairs and urged the media to spread awareness about the various Central Govt. Schemes so that people can take full advantage. He added that there are various Central Govt. Schemes sponsored by various Ministries but people are unable to take advantage of these schemes because of a lack of awareness.

He urged the party functionaries to work towards spreading awareness about various Central Govt. Schemes and how people can avail and take advantage of such schemes.

The Minister said that he and the entire Central Govt. under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi is committed for the development of Andaman & Nicobar Islands and informed that his Ministry can bring in a lot of development in the Islands with the support of the Minority Communities residing here.

He informed that he has meetings scheduled with the Minority Community and would discuss the schemes available and the path through which development can be brought in the Islands with the members of the minority community.
