Port Blair, Fen 17: With issuance of notification for the General Election to Panchayat & Municipal in A&N Islands on 28/01/2022 and in order to ensure peaceful, free and fair election and to take preventive measure in pursuance of the Elections instruction, all the licence holders of arms and ammunition under North & Middle Andaman District are required to deposit their licensed arms in nearest Police Station immediately.

The police authorities shall issue proper receipt of the deposition of Arms and Ammunitions. The arms and ammunitions will be returned to the licence holders after one week of the declaration of the result of the Election (Subject to the validity of the licence). All the Arms licence holders have been directed to comply with this order.

The arms licence held by Forest Department and Bank Security Personnel are exempted from the above order.
