Port Blair, Feb 17: Active Social Worker of Ward no. 7 Advocate Sheela Chakraborty has joined the Indian National Congress on Tuesday. The joining was held in the presence of ANTCC President, Shri. Rangalal Halder and Hon'ble Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma.

Halder welcomed her and asserted that the party would be bagging the Ward no. 7 seat in the upcoming municipal election and BJP will be wiped out. The ANTCC President has also appointed her as General Secretary of District Congress Committee, South Andaman.

“She is a prominent face of Ward no. 7 and her presence will definitely help the party”, said Halder.
