Port Blair, May 9: The 34th National Under-14 Chess Championship 2022 began today at Rajpat Club, Ahmedabad, Gujarat which is being organised by Gujarat State Chess Association on behalf of All India Chess Federation under the aegis of Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt. Of India.
More than 300 players across India are participating in the Championship in which V Yashwant from Andaman & Nicobar Islands is also taking part.
The championship will be held for six days from 9th May to 14th May 2022 over 9 rounds in classical mode. The total cash prize for the championship is Rupees eight lakhs which will be awarded among top twenty players in Boys and Girls category.
