Port Blair, July 26: The 44th Chess Olympiad which is being hoisted by India is all set to kickstart from 28th July 2022 to 10th August 2022 in Mahabalipuram, India with a grand opening ceremony. This is the biggest sporting event ever organised by India and has attracted 187 countries, with 188 teams in open section and 162 in the women’s section.

Meanwhile six young chess players, three each in boys and Girls from Andaman & Nicobar Islands viz Sayansh Jindal, Yuvan Singh of Carmel Sr. Sec School Port Blair & K Harshit of Govt. Model Sr. Sec. School Port Blair in Boys section and  in girls section  R Kashthuri Bhai of GDMS, Tanisha Raj of VKV Port Blair & Chittiboina Mageswari of Govt. Model Sr. Sec. School Port Blair have been selected and got the golden opportunity to witness the 44th Chess Olympiad 2022 at Mahabalipuram.

They will be proceeding to Mahabalipuram on 28th July 2022 and their lodging and boarding will be taken care of by the All India Chess Federation (AICF).
