Port Blair, Aug 16: The 76th Independence Day was celebrated at Gandhi Bhavan with feelings of nationalism, solidarity and celebrations. The PCC President Shri. Rangalal Halder hoisted the National flag followed by the National Anthem.
Remembering the sacrifices made by great leaders for the freedom of India, Shri. Rangalal urged the citizen to unite and fight against separatism, terrorism, violence and all such forces that divide and spread hatred in society.
Sweets were distributed on the occasion. The celebration was attended by Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Member of Parliament, Shri. G.Bhasker Chairman Campaign Committee ANTCC, Members of Pradesh Congress Committee, District Congress Committee, Block Congress Committee, City Congress committee, members of all party frontal organizations and elected members of Panchayati Raj Institution & Port Blair Municipal Council and general public in large number.
