Port Blair, Sept. 16: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 6,97,535 doses of vaccine have been administered to beneficiaries in the age group of 18 and above so far. Similarly, 23,977 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 15 to 18 years. 28, 533 beneficiaries in the age group of 12 to 14 years have been administered both doses of vaccine. The number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine so far stood at 2,85,777.

A total of 4,729 eligible beneficiaries were vaccinated in A&N Islands while the beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine stood at 4,655 today. In South Andaman District, 2,340 beneficiaries were vaccinated, out of which, 8 beneficiaries were above 18 years and the number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine stood at 2320.

In North & Middle Andaman District, 2295 beneficiaries were administered precautionary dose of vaccine.

In Nicobar District, 94 beneficiaries were vaccinated and the number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine stood at 40.
