Port Blair, Sept. 30: Passengers/general public have been informed that to facilitate the commuters of Southern Group of Islands, the Directorate of Shipping Services will commence the advance booking of passenger tickets at STARS Ticketing Counter. Henceforth, passengers can purchase their tickets in advance from STARS Ticketing Counter, Phoenix Bay for the forthcoming ship schedules to Southern Group of Islands. The date and time of issue of tickets for the particular sailing will be intimated to the passengers through ‘Seva Suchnayein’.

Further, passengers should be vaccinated and get their tickets verified/endorsed from COVID Testing/Verification Centers before boarding the vessel. Similarly, passengers who are not fully vaccinated has to undergo RT-PCR Test. Passengers will not be allowed to board the vessel in absence of verified certificate or Negative RT-PCR Test Report provided by the RT-PCR Testing Centre, Port Blair.
