Young Rural Brilliant Minds’ Creativity Applauded

Diglipur, Nov. 27: The much awaited zonal Science, art and Craft Exhibition was conducted on 26th Nov. 2022 at the Multi-purpose hall of Swami Vivekanand Stadium. The Chief Guest, the Assistant commissioner of Diglipur Shri Anuj Kumar Bhari inaugurated the mega event in the morning by lighting the lamp. The Chief Guest along with the guests of honour, the Panchayat Samiti Pramukh Shri Dipankar Mistry, Chief Medical Officer, Dr. H.M Siddaraju, Subhash Gram Panchayat Pradhan Shri P.R Singaram visited the science models displayed by the students, who had come from the different schools of North Andaman. The guests spent much time, interacting with the students, and asking the functions and principles involved in their models.

Calling the students young scientists, the Chief Guest, Shri Anuj Kumar Bharti, in his address said that he was impressed, noticing the immense talents the young students of the region. He hoped that the jury would select the best models from the exhibition, which would draw attention at the forthcoming State Level Exhibition to be held at Port Blair as well. Having seen the models, he appreciated the students for their concern for the conservation of Energy and Environment. He said that the children have definitely succeeded in showcasing their innovative ideas through their creative models in this direction, in an effective manner.

The Chief Guest had special words for the students of Government Senior Secondary School Swaraj Gram, who displayed Yoga Asanas with perfection. He congratulated the Yoga Teacher, students and the school saying, ‘this practice and trend would inspire other students also to adopt the philosophy and practices of Yoga in their lives’.

The beautiful cultural programme presented by the students of GSSS. Subhash gram and GSSS Diglipur, based on the theme of National Integration was admired much by the audience. The Model illustrating the different dimensions of the constitution of India, put up at the hall by Government Secondary School Laxmipur was worth watching. The students also displayed some beautiful craft works which attracted the visitors.

Earlier welcoming the guests, the Deputy Education Officer, Shri R.P Pandey informed that there are total 67 schools in the zone, which come under five cluster resource centres in the one block set up. The Exhibitions are being conducted under the ‘Rashtreeya Avishkar Abhiyan’, aiming to extend opportunities to the students to showcase their talent in the field of science. After conducting the exhibitions at school and cluster levels the block level was organised, involving the best selected models from CRC level, he said.

The overall incharge of the Exhibition, the Principal of the Government Senior Secondary School Subhash Gram Shri M. Nehru proposed the vote of thanks.
