Port Blair, Jan 23: The State Unit of the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI), A&N Islands, under the leadership of its President Mr. M.A Sajid organized a bike rally on 20th January 2023 to mark the Bharat Jodo Yatra in support of Congress leader Mr. Rahul Gandhi.

The rally commenced at 4 pm from Flag Point and passed through major parts of the city including RGT Road, Middle Point, Junglighat, Dairy Farm, Phoenix Bay and Aberdeen Bazaar. Hundreds of college students and youths with their motorbikes participated in this rally.

The Pradesh Congress Committee President Mr. Rangalal Halder along with City Congress Committee President Mr. Mohd. Zubair and several other Congress leaders took part in this rally and marched on roads by raising voice against the BJP Government at Centre. The bike rally was followed by a public meeting in front of Gandhi Bhawan.

Addressing the Gathering, Mr. Sajid said, "This Bharat Jodo Yatra rally has been organized to give the message of awareness to the public that the BJP Administration is making the common people fool and cheating the countrymen. He accused the BJP Administration that they had given words to the countrymen in their vision documents that 2 crore jobs would be provided in a year but they have implemented nothing which is utmost blasphemy and hypocrisy.

Mr. Halder said, "The BJP party is based on religion discrimination and creating instability between Hindu and Muslim which is not acceptable. The Indian National Congress is opposing this communal ideology. He also spoke on economic and political resolution respectively.

Mr. Zubair advised the party workers and youths to penetrate the grass root level and to educate them about the failures of the BJP Government. He further thanked the students and youths for making the bike rally a resounding success.

The City Congress Vice president Mr. Ravinder Nath, City Congress General Secretary Mr. Raj Reddy, Congress City Secretaries Mr. Farooq, Mr. C. Ravi & Mr. Esha along with Youth Congress Secretary Mr. Shadab Riaz, Shri Abhibhushan Ghosh, Shri. M.A.Tameed, Shri. Yusuf Congress Leaders, NSUI State General Secretaries Mr. Vishal Din, Mukesh, Rishab Saw, Saurav Nair and Anick Das took part in the rally.
