Port Blair, March 21: Mission Vatsalya erst while Child Protection Scheme is the Centrally Sponsored Scheme implemented by Ministry of Women and Child Development for the welfare and rehabilitation of children in difficult circumstances. The District Child Protection Unit is implementing this scheme at district level under the overall suspension of District Magistrate for ensuring Service Delivery and Care & Protection of Children in the District.

As per Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Rule 2016 and Model Amendment Rules 2022, of Principal Rule 41, the District Magistrate shall constitute District Level Inspection Committee, which shall be chaired by Additional District Magistrate, for the inspection of Child Care Institutions.

In order to constitute a District Level Inspection Committee, applications are invited from the reputed citizen from the Society to be one of the Member in the Committee, who shall be involved in the Welfare of the Children and do not have any Conflict of Interest.
