Port Blair, May 25: As part of Mission LiFE initiative, a Cycle Rally was organized at Wimberlygunj by South Andaman Forest Division, Department of Environment and Forests. Local school going children, villagers and PRIs of Wimberlygunj area enthusiastically participated in the Cycle Rally taking forward the message of adoption of environment friendly lifestyle and practices in day to day life for the protection and conservation of nature and natural resources.

Shri A Soundra Pandian, Assistant Conservator of Forests, South Andaman Division flagged off the Cycle Rally from the Divisional Forests Office, Headquarters at Wimberlygunj. Earlier, the participants of the Cycle Rally briefed about the motive behind conducting the Cycle Rally and appealed to the participants to adopt a sustainable environment friendly lifestyle and contribute towards the protection and conservation of environment and natural resources for healthy living in the planet. The Cycle Rally culminated at Shoalbay No.8 and the programme ended with vote of thanks proposed by Shri. Jagadhish Kumar, Range Officer Mannarghat.
