Port Blair, Jan. 22: As part of Animal Welfare Fortnight, a Mass Sterilization Camp for pet dogs and cats was conducted at Veterinary Hospital in Junglighat on Jan. 20, 2024. During the camp, 22 sterilizations were performed including 19 dogs (8 males and 11 females) and 3 male cats. The Animal Birth Control (ABC) team, consisting of Senior Veterinary Officers (SVOs) from South Andaman, managed the sterilization procedures.
As an educational initiative, students from JNRM College, accompanied by a professor, also participated in the exposure visits. They observed the program and received a briefing on the routine activities of the hospital.
