Port Blair, Aug 4: The third installation ceremony of Next Gen Rotary Club was held on 3rd August 2024 at TSG Sapphire Hall, Port Blair. During the installation ceremony, Mr. Mohamed Jadwet was inducted as the President of the club for the year 2024-25.
The occasion was graced by Dy. Inspector General, Indian Coast Guard, Pradeep B Mandal as the chief guest. Addressing the gathering, DIG Mandal explained how his Coast Guard Unit has been working on protecting the environment & ecology of the islands apart from giving back to the society through various projects and missions. He expressed his willingness to join hands with the Next Gen Rotary Club of Port Blair in undertaking the activities proposed by the club for the year 2024-25.
Addressing the gathering after taking over as the President, Mohamed announced that the focus of the Next Gen Rotary Club would be on health. With the newly inducted members in the club, Mohamed was hopeful that the new team which includes Mr Dakshin and Mr. Ayush would take the club to great heights.
Talking to Andaman Chronicle, Mohamed Jadwet said that his focus will be on reaching free health care to the remotest of the islands where people lack health care facilities. In this way, the Next Gen will be able to serve the underprivileged members of the society.
The entire ceremony was compered by Rtn Ebrahim Jadwet, who is all set to take over as the President of the club next year.
