Port Blair, Sept. 2: The 5 days Training–cum–Workshop on Ayushman Bharat, Health & Wellness Programme (AB-SHWP) for the HWAs (Health & Wellness Ambassadors) of all Govt. & Govt. Aided Schools of South Andaman District was organized by the Science Wing of the Directorate of Education in collaboration with the Local Health Department of A&N Administration at Govt. SSS School Line, Port Blair.

In the inaugural session, the Dy. Director of Education (Perl), Smt. M.V. Jolly was the chief guest while Dr. Avijit Roy, Deputy Director (Health) & Joint Secretary (RCH-II), DHS was the guest of honour.

Altogether, 30 GTTs and PGTs participated in this workshop and also shared their experiential Learning with the adolescent students of Govt. SSS Port Mout during the field visit.

The workshop concluded on Aug.31, 2024, in which, Dr. Avijit Roy, Deputy Director (Health) & Joint Secretary (RCH-II), DHS, Port Blair was the chief guest while the Principal, GSSS School Line, Shri Dwijendar Rai was the guest of honour. The State Nodal Officer-SHP / Dy. Director Education (Sc.), Shri Ram Pravesh, Science Consultant, Shri R. K. Pandey & Smt. P Shobha, HM (M) distributed certificates to the participants along with the chief guest and guest of honour.

The training-cum-workshop was conducted under the leadership of Shri Raja Ram, State Resource Persons, AB-SHWP as Training Coordinator and Dr. Neena Alex, GDMO-RBSK from the Health Department.
