Port Blair, Sept. 3: AC office, Swaraj Dweep organized AC Cup League Cum Knockout Tournament under the overall supervision of the DC (SA), Shri Arjun Sharma, IAS on September 1, 2024 to create awareness among the people, especially the teens of the island on the ill effects of drugs and alcohol consumption.

Shri. Vikram Singh, Assistant Commissioner, (Swaraj Dweep and Shaheed Dweep) was the Chief Guest for the inaugural function. Heads of various departments, PRI members, teachers, students and villagers graced the occasion with their benign presence.

The Chief Guest in his address emphasized the importance of sports for a healthy life and also focussed on the prevention of teen drug, as youth are the largest force of our nation and it must be directed in a positive way for their happy, healthy and holy living.

The inaugural function ended with vote of thanks by the eminent settler of the island, Shri Suresh Kullu.
